Chocowinity, NC
Chocowinity is located on the southside of the Pamlico River just 3 miles south of Washington NC
According to historians, the name is derived from the Tuscaroran Indians who lived here several hundred years ago. The place was once known as Godley's Cross Roads, but the name was changed to CHOCAWANATETH some time before the Revolutinary period.
Chocowinity is home to several waterfront developments such as Cypress Landing on Chocowinity Bay, Bay Harbour, Long Point Landing, Freshwater, and Eagle Trace.
Chocowinity's location provides easy access to Greenville, New Bern, Washington, and the beaches of coastal North Carolina
